The short version: “that clock app” keeps your data on your phone. There's no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and ClaerCorp never receives anything you put in the app.

What the app stores, and where
Your systems, rings, planets, forms, journal entries and settings are stored only on your device, in the app's own storage. Photos you attach to a log are copied into that storage too; photos no log uses any more are cleaned up automatically. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
You can export everything as a file (Settings → Data), which goes wherever you choose to send it from your phone's share sheet. From the same page you can delete all your journal entries, or erase everything.
Location
Location is optional and off unless you turn it on. You can let the app use your phone's location (only while you're using the app), or pick a place on a map instead. It's used to:
- work out sunrise and sunset times and the colour of the sky — calculated on your phone, nothing sent anywhere;
- show the current weather and the name of your town, if you have weather turned on (see below).
Your location is saved on your device and nowhere else.
What leaves your phone
The app has no servers of its own. A few features ask other services for information, and only when you use them:
- Weather — while a location is set and weather is on, the app asks Open-Meteo for the current conditions about every 30 minutes while it's open. It sends your coordinates, rounded to about 100 metres. Turn weather off in Settings → Location & weather to stop this.
- Place names and map search — turning coordinates into a town name, and searching for a place on the map, use your phone's built-in location service (Apple's on iPhone, Google's on Android), which receives the coordinates or the search text.
- The map — when you open the map to pick a place, map images are loaded from Apple Maps (on iPhone) or Google Maps (on Android).
Like any internet request, these services can also see your IP address. Their own privacy policies apply to what they receive.
Notifications, camera and photos
Reminders are scheduled on your device by your phone's own notification system; nothing is sent to a server to deliver them. The app asks for camera and photo-library access only so you can attach photos to your logs, and only when you choose to.
Shared Features and custom code
Feature files you import or export contain only the rings and forms in them — not your journal entries. Custom timing code runs in a sandbox inside the app, with no access to the internet, your files or the rest of your data.
